Ingredients

  • 150 g Tofu medium firm is best!
  • 1 Tbsp Tahini
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 Tsp soy sauce/ tamari
  • 1 Tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 Tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 Tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 Tsp cardamom
  • 1 Tsp Chinese 5 spices mix
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200C and like a baking tray with a piece of parchment paper.
  • In a shallow bowl combine Tahini, lime juice, soy sauce/tamari and water until smooth. It should have a thin consistency, but not on runny!
  • In another shallow bowl mix together the spices with the sesame seeds.
  • Cut the Tofu into around 5 cm thick slices. Dip each slice first into the tahini mixture, then the spices and sesame seeds and add to the prepared tray.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Flip each slice halfway through the baking process to make sure it’s turning golden all around. Enjoy!
